In recent years our school has transformed into a true community hub for the town of Leyburn. We have broken down barriers and opened our doors for community use outside of regular school hours.
Julia says, ” We’re delighted to be strengthening our bonds with the Leyburn community. One of my key aims has always been to reinstate the school as a centre for the community and we’re so pleased that our facilities are now being used for activities like tennis, badminton, and football by local residents.”
As well as this, our newly-formed Parent Teacher Association is raising funds for new outdoor furniture and equipment to further enhance the outdoor spaces and our students have even taken the initiative through the Student Council to dedicate time in the final week of July to community work projects.
