Julia turned to teaching after a successful military career as an RAF Officer. Passionate about young people she became our Headteacher after moving to the area in 2015.

Is a Co opted Governor and Vice chair of our Board. Robert is also a parent and local businessman.

Julie Cooper Staff Governor

As the new Staff Governor, Julie has worked for the school for 12 years and had numerous roles including
English TA and library technician . Her current role is Attendance and Behaviour officer.

Louise Fieldgate LA Governor

Louise has recently retired to North Yorkshire. She is an ex Middle School teacher with many years of experience. She sits on School Improvement committee

Dr. Stephanie Swift is a scientist who works as the Director of Swift Science Writing in North Yorkshire, and as a consultant for a market access company in York generating systematic reviews and evidence portfolios for pharmaceutical companies to help them bring new treatments to patients around the world. Hazel Bright Parent Governor

Mrs Hazel Bright joins our board from 01 March 2022 as Parent Governor. She has 2 children at our school.

Allan Waring Parent Governor

Allan Waring is a serving Royal Air Force Senior NCO at RAF Leeming and a parent. He has a wealth of experience which he brings to the FGB.
