A Level success at Wensleydale School

10th August 2021

It’s been a day of celebration here today as our four fantastic A Level students came in to pick up their results. It was a huge success, with a 100% pass rate and each of them meeting or exceeding their aspirational target grade.

Perhaps even more importantly though, we’re so happy that our vocational and business-based courses have led all four students into their desired field after Sixth Form. Jack Chappelow and Caitlin Tyrala will be working locally, with Jack entering the food business, and Caitlin entering the hospitality industry. Mia Smith will be continuing onto Higher Education to study Film and Television Production at the University of Greenwich in London, and Jordan Cullen is at the final stage of the recruitment process to join the RAF.

Headteacher Julia Polley says “After such a disruptive year due to Covid-19, I am so proud of our Year 13 students for their resilience, hard work and good humour. The internal awarding of grades went smoothly and this is due to the professionalism of our staff and students. I am delighted to say these four fantastic students have gained the grades they need to move to their next step.”
