This week is Recycle Week, hosted by WRAP with the aim of encouraging people and businesses from around the world to reduce waste and recycle where possible. In spirit of this, we thought we’d share this interesting video all about what really happens when you throw plastic away.
But now that we know that, what can we do? Well, to start, we always want to encourage our students to recycle whenever they can. This just means picking the recycling instead of putting plastic, glass and metal into the bin. More importantly though, remember to reduce the amount of plastic you buy and reuse whatever you can! Plastic Tupperware from takeouts are a great example of things that often get thrown away but can be kept for use in the future.
